Screen Capture under Linux?

ok, thats my first encounter ever for programming under linux, all i
know is that in linux, everything is files, so i was wondering if
anyone have screen capture code so i can look into it? its gonna be
nice to make a screen capture software to take a screen shot and save
to file.

thanks.

also, anyone know any guide for linux programming starters? not
programming language, linux itself

For the screenshot? The code comes with a uses clause listing the
necessary units to include.

i didnt mean includes like C/C++ includes.
i mean like what files will i have to distribute with my application
if i used this code?
