Problems with linux 32 bit again lazarus / 32-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- calebs · 2022-02-18 21:45 Hello all, i have a new problem with a program that compiles and work fine on win32/64 and linux64 but in linux 32 bits dont. I've fresh installed fpc, fpcsource and lazarus from webpage and installed via online package manager the same components i use on every platform i've mentioned (zeosdbo, uniqueinstance) the problem is when i try to run it in lazarus for debug or in the system. The program builds and compiles without error. When i run it it gives me several errors: 1. external sigsegv address b5904ad9 (accept) opens assembler window, press f9 again 2. runerror(216) general protection fault address b5904ad9 (continue) 3. exception eaccessviolation address b5904ad9 (continue) 4. access violation (accept) 5. execution stopped with exit code 217 ($00d9) i've set breakpoints on the first line in the oncreate method  for all units but never get to that line so it must be something happening before. Also i have a few timers (disabled at start) trayicon simpleipcserver (active at start, tried to deactivate and the same happens). Do anybody have an idea where i can start to look at? I've opened the same project in linux 64 bits and runs without problems Thanks! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- winni · 2022-02-18 21:50 Hi! Linux 32 is deprecated. Arch Linux, Ubuntu, Fedora, Suse and a lot more don't support it anymore. Winni ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MarkMLl · 2022-02-18 21:57 Is this related to https://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/topi c,58379.msg434738.html#msg434738 which you started earlier today? Please don't open multiple related threads, it only annoys people. MarkMLl ---------------------------------------------------------------------- calebs · 2022-02-18 22:04 No, its not related. Its a different problem in the same platform ---------------------------------------------------------------------- af0815 · 2022-02-19 07:25 You never provide basic information System where the installation is running Version of fpc and Lazarus. My first test after install is, to compile Lazarus by itself out of the GUI. If this works, everything works for me. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- calebs · 2022-02-19 19:57 Sorry i'll quote my answer in other post Quoteits methodical for a program i've making from years ago. I distribute it on win 32/64 and linux 32/64. Almost always use debian or ubuntu base linuxes for compiling / running the programs. And i always make the same. I develop mainly on win64 and i have 3 vm's for compiling-fine tunning for win32/linux32/linux64. i always use fpcupdeluxe with default options, download stable lazarus from gitlab, then proceed to install lazreport, messagecomposer and onlinepackagemanager and printer4lazarus. then install zeos, uniqueinstance, scrolltext, lazbarcodes. then open lazarus, open the project, hit f9 and start debugging/testing on the vm's recently i have this problem with lazarus installed on linux32 with fpupdeluxe giving random errors at compiling, worked out installing lazarus deb from webpage. so i think that problem was caused by the version that fpcupdeluxe downloads from gitlab. im working on schedule so it was imperious to solve the problem to compile thye program for my client. if i can, later, i will try to download another version with  fpcupdeluxe to see if that error disapears. thans for the time specifically i have problems with the linux vm in proxmos (linux antix x86 21). from clean machine update linux, installed xfce4 and some other components with apt, then downloaded fpcupdeluxe (previously installed al pre-requisites) and proceed to install stable fpc and lazarus. I have no problems with previous version of stable lazarus (2.0.12) but now with the same linux (erased lazarus folder, redownload 2.2 with fpdeluxe, downloaded all the components with online component manager and rebuild lazarus with no problem) it starts the problem. i will try to download the fixes version to see if still happening and i'll post here. thanks
