Problems with linux at compiling lazarus / 32-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- calebs · 2022-02-18 16:05 Hello all, i have this program that compiles fine in win64, win32 and linux 64 but when i try to compile in a linux 32 bits sometimes fails and sometimes works (without modifyng nothing). I just hit f9 again or run>> cleanup and build, others just build o quick compile or just exit lazarus and enter again. sometimes compiling from commandline with lazbuild with the same command again and again finally compiles i'll attach the log from messages to see if anybody knows what could it be. ps. it only fails in my vm with linux 32 bits i have to attach the log because its to long ---------------------------------------------------------------------- winni · 2022-02-18 18:21 Hi! The answer is given by the first line of your error.txt: Exit code 1, Errors: 291, Warnings: 246, Hints: 137 * repair the 291 error * look at the 246 warnings if they belong to something serious Winni ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MarkMLl · 2022-02-18 18:49 I'm a bit concerned by the fact that the error messages suggest that large chunks of the IDE/LCL are being recompiled. But broadly speaking I agree with Winni (happens on occasion): find the first error message and concentrate on /that/ problem. MarkMLl ---------------------------------------------------------------------- calebs · 2022-02-18 20:32 It seems that the problem is the lazarus installation that fpcupdeluxe does. Downloaded from lazarus website the deb installers for linux 32 bit, installed and then voila... no more those random errors. Its odd that never failed with 64 bits installation for fpcupdeluxe and i recall been using it for 32 bits with no problems until now... maybe is the new 2.2.0 version. For now official deb installers worked fine. I'll try again some time later with fpcupdeluexe to see if its keep happening. thanks! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MarkMLl · 2022-02-18 20:50 Odd: I don't use it since I'm used to building from scratch but it's normally highly-regarded. If you are able to throw any more light on it please give as much detail on version numbers etc. as possible (which was conspicuously absent from your initial message). MarkMLl ---------------------------------------------------------------------- calebs · 2022-02-18 22:12 its methodical for a program i've making from years ago. I distribute it on win 32/64 and linux 32/64. Almost always use debian or ubuntu base linuxes for compiling / running the programs. And i always make the same. I develop mainly on win64 and i have 3 vm's for compiling-fine tunning for win32/linux32/linux64. i always use fpcupdeluxe with default options, download stable lazarus from gitlab, then proceed to install lazreport, messagecomposer and onlinepackagemanager and printer4lazarus. then install zeos, uniqueinstance, scrolltext, lazbarcodes. then open lazarus, open the project, hit f9 and start debugging/testing on the vm's recently i have this problem with lazarus installed on linux32 with fpupdeluxe giving random errors at compiling, worked out installing lazarus deb from webpage. so i think that problem was caused by the version that fpcupdeluxe downloads from gitlab. im working on schedule so it was imperious to solve the problem to compile thye program for my client. if i can, later, i will try to download another version with  fpcupdeluxe to see if that error disapears. thans for the time
