SIGSEGV exception on runtime create connection lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LArgonnais · 2021-12-12 20:41 Hello. I would like to create a class and unit to define some generical DB methods using SQLite, so I can reuse it on different projects. Obviously, I need to create TSQLConnection on the fly. It worked on windows (I used the unit from a previous project), but on Linux, it doesn't anymore. It tried either of TSQLite3Connection and TSQLiteConnector, both raise the exception External: SIGSEGV. However, when I use the same components on design time, everything works fine. I don't understand why the same components work when set at design time (but obviously must be created and instantiated somewhere at launch) but not when they are set at runtime. Here is a piece of code I use. cSQL is my own class, which owns the components. Code: Pascal  [Select][+][-]window.onload = function(){var x1 = document.getElementById("main_content_section"); if (x1) { var x = document.getElementsByClassName("geshi");for (var i = 0; i cSQL.Create();  with cSQL do    begin      conn:=TSQLConnector.Create(nil);      conn.ConnectorType:='SQLite3';    Conn.DatabaseName:='db.sqlite';      Conn.Transaction := TSQLTransaction.Create(Connexion);      Requete:=TSQLQuery.Create(nil);      Requete.PacketRecords:=200;      Requete.DataBase:=Conn;      Requete.Transaction:=Conn.Transaction;    Conn.Open;    end; It fails on the first line in the with, either it is TSQLConnector or TSQL3Connection. Does anyone understand the issue? I know I can use the design component, but that is not satisfying, especially to build an independent unit. One more detail : − Lazarus 1.6+dfsg-1 FPC 3.0.0 − Linux Mint (Sylvia I think). Thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- bytebites · 2021-12-12 21:38 Is cSQL class or instance of it?
