DBGrid not working with big table

I have a table with 5 rows and DBGrid show instantly the result.
Then I switch query selecting a table of more than 50000 rows and the
result are only empty columns (with correct title though).
The same select works on embarcadero sql.

Why?

No idea what you are doing. The attached project creates a dummy
sqlite3 database with 1 million records within about 10 seconds, and
when the application is opened a second time it loads the table into a
dbgrid instantly.
