How to retrieve SQLlite version lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MoellerCLaus · 2021-01-03 07:17 Most of us like to have version information in an applications About box.   I searched the net for a how to - but did not find it. Here the post that might help others Code: Pascal  [Select][+][-]window.onload = function(){var x1 = document.getElementById("main_content_section"); if (x1) { var x = document.getElementsByClassName("geshi");for (var i = 0; i   With MainDataModule.ZQuery1.SQL Do    Begin      Clear;      Add('select sqlite_version()')    end;  MainDataModule.ZQuery1.Open;  LabelSQLLite.Caption := 'SqlLite version : '+ MainDataModule.ZQuery1.FieldByName('sqlite_version()').AsString; ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Thaddy · 2021-01-03 07:33 That works, but this is much simpler: SELECT sqlite_version(); See the sqlite docs and e.g. https://database.guide/check-sqlite- version/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rvk · 2021-01-03 08:20 Quote from: Thaddy on January 03, 2021, 08:33:50 amThat works, but this is much simpler: SELECT sqlite_version(); See the sqlite docs and e.g. https://database.guide/check-sqlite- version/ How is that different from what TS is doing (in a more complete example)? (Although I wouldn't use 'with', use fiekd[0] instead of fieldname and close the query.) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Thaddy · 2021-01-03 08:31 This always works... even sqlite 2. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rvk · 2021-01-03 08:40 Quote from: Thaddy on January 03, 2021, 09:31:25 amThis always works... even sqlite 2. So why are you claiming your method is simpler while it does exactly as TS does in his post? Please read the content of the code in the opening post. If you have simpler code for FPC, please show it. You're not showing FPC but just a SQL statement (which the FPC code of TS already contains)
