I begin a new software that will use mORMot framework in medical environment, So I have to choose between Firebird and MariaDB. The software will extensively use REST technology via mORMot. What you advise me to choose ( need performance, stability, scalability). Thank you. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mangakissa · 2020-06-08 06:11 Firebird 3. Wtih mORMot the server can work perfect as local database. Are you a specialist in mORMot? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BSaidus · 2020-06-08 15:03 thank you. I'm not specialist on mORMot. I want to work in Remote technology. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- fabiopesaju · 2020-06-08 16:58 restdataware provides rest, i think ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mangakissa · 2020-06-09 06:08 Yes, but the documentation is not so great and mostly build on Delphi ---------------------------------------------------------------------- DonAlfredo · 2020-06-09 06:18 Why is your choice limited by Firebird and MariaDB ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BSaidus · 2020-06-09 22:15 Thank you for your response all. If you have something to propose, please tel me. Using mORMot would allow you to use a much higher level of abstraction. Some SQL might be needed, but that would be fully independent of the database engine used. Correct use of the mORMot would allow you to use any back-end, by only changing a single line of code: the back-end engine in use. Sidenote: The mORMot allows for DDD. See the docs. It has a steep learning curve, but its abstraction is really addictive. Code becomes very clear and the programming logic/flow is 100% transparent. I have become an addict.
