PostgreSQL version lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Otto · 2020-04-29 16:00 Hello everyone. I would need to know which is the latest version of PostgreSQL compatible with Lazarus on the Windows, Linux and Android platforms respectively. Any package of Lazarus, licensed for commercial activities, would be fine. I thank you in advance for your reply. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MarkMLl · 2020-04-29 16:16 I don't think you've really given people enough information to answer your question, since apart from anything else it will depend on whether you're using something like Zeoslib or the standard (FPC/Lazarus) components, and on whether you expect to be able to run the server on those platforms or merely the client sofware. Have you used the forum's search facility yet? there's been several fairly recent discussions regarding various versions and aspects of operation. MarkMLl ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Otto · 2020-04-29 17:21 Hello MarkMLl. I searched the Forum before asking questions. I may not have searched using the correct keywords. The wiki content on these topics refers to older versions. Basically I would need to know what components, not necessarily pre- installed in Lazarus, I could use with the latest versions of PostgreSQL. The client part would be priority, the server part is secondary. The discriminatory characteristic is the type of license of the component which, I repeat, must be valid for commercial activities. The most important platform is Windows. Thank you for your help. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- marcov · 2020-04-29 19:07 Both sqldb (which comes with lazarus) as the general Delphi 3rd party component ZEOS probably qualify. They will probably generally work with the newest pgsql, but not necessarily support the newest features. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Otto · 2020-04-29 19:37 Thank you very much Marcov. I'm going to report the test results.
