password protected database ? lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BSaidus · 2017-02-18 17:04 Hi, just curious !   Is Firebird, SQLite databases can be protected with password ? if yes, then does lazarus have adequate components to access them ??  thanks ---------------------------------------------------------------------- valdir.marcos · 2017-02-18 17:16 Are you talking about Firebird 2.5- or Firebird 3.0+? Both Firebird servers have user and password to be accessed, but Firebird 3.0+ also permits to encrypt the database file itself and to encrypt the communication between client and server. And, answering your question, yes, Lazarus handles correctly Firebird's user and password. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BSaidus · 2017-02-18 17:19 thanks !!
