how to get postgresql to call a lazarus app

I want to use lazarus to read/unpack inject an xml into a temp table.
And get postgresql to call the program written in lazarus inside a
postgresql function.
Is this possible?

I don't know too much about Postgress calling external functions, but
if it does, yes, it is possible.
You can also build a postgress client in Lazarus and work from there.
PostGress is fully supported.
