Lazarus 1.6-FPC 3, Zeos 7.1.4-stable, Windows 10-64, PostgreSQL 9.5. Thanks Depends on your needs. If it is only postgress in the future stick with the default components that are provided as standard. These tend to be more stable and looks often faster to me. Zeos is way more flexible but not always stable even if they say so. My experience is mixed: For some versions that is absolutely true, for some versions it isn't... That's why, with regrets, I don't use it anymore, but still test it. You should do the same. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- miab3 · 2016-08-26 11:05 In the case of ZEOS I suggest to use the version: ZEOS 7.2 svn 3929: http://sourceforge.net/p/zeoslib/code-0/HEAD/tree/branches/testing- 7.2/ or Zeos 7.3-beta(plus OleDB, ODBC) svn 3918(3929): http://sourceforge.net/p/zeoslib/code-0/HEAD/tree/branches/testing- 7.3/ There are two years newer than 7.1.4-stable. Michal ---------------------------------------------------------------------- regs · 2016-08-26 14:02 Can't say on PostgreSQL, but i had some occasional access violations on executing Firebird queries with Zeos compiled for i386-win32. No problem was on 64 bit win32 and with Linux. So I ended up with SQLdb. Had it's own problems with virtual columns. But that was Firebird wrapper and it was manageable with casts. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mikib · 2016-08-30 16:53 Thanks for reply, i update Zeos and make some tests.
