Hi!
I setup connect to sql server, but in DBGrid I get ????????????????
??????????? ?????? etc...
ODBCConnection1.charset := 'What value I need set here?';
or maybe
SQLQuery1.Translate('cp1251','UTF8',true);   //but it does not work

Lazarus 1.6
FPC 3.0
SQL SERVER 2008 (windows 1251)

It depends which ODBC driver do you use? And which charsets are
supported by this driver. Note that only limited charsets are
supported in case of SQL Server.

I use SQL Server driver and tried Native Client 2008 - same result!
I found a solution for yourself - use nvarhar instead varchar or char
in table fields on server.
In the query with condition I use UTF8ToCP1251 from LConvEncoding
module.
