Can anyone help me with this? i already had a topic here but i did not get it so i want to try it again. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LacaK · 2016-01-19 18:11 Does Oracle provides 64 bit client libraries for their OCI interface ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Hansvb · 2016-01-19 20:06 I am not sure. They have a Oracle 64 bit client so i thing they do. But that is Oracle 12. I only see Oracle 11 in my work. So there no need voor 64 bit yet i guess. But is it possible to use the Oracle component from lazarus WIN32 in Lazarus WIN64? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LacaK · 2016-01-20 16:44 Quote from: Hansvb on January 19, 2016, 09:06:32 pmBut is it possible to use the Oracle component from lazarus WIN32 in Lazarus WIN64? Theoreticaly, yes, but without at least looking at documentation and testing hard to say ... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Hansvb · 2016-01-20 17:03 I am able to test it but do not know how to put the component in laz win64 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LacaK · 2016-01-21 20:08 It is not so big problem if you does not see component on palette. You can create instance of class TOracleConnection in program and compile for Win64 target. If you want play with rebuilding of lazarus look into components/sqldb/registersqldb.pas and put there unconditional: {$DEFINE HASORACLECONNECTION} ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Hansvb · 2016-02-15 20:39 I finally found how to get the Oracle connection component active in lazarus win 64 bit. With this: Code: Pascal  [Select][+][-]window.onload = function(){var x1 = document.getElementById("main_content_section"); if (x1) { var x = document.getElementsByClassName("geshi");for (var i = 0; i http://nobytes.blogspot.nl/2014/04/how-to-use-toracleconnection- under.html Enabling the TOracleConnection in your Lazarus installation again. You have to go to the "Package" menu entry. Select "Open loaded Package". In the dialog you select the package "sqldblaz". Now click "add" and go to the tab "Add files". Then browse to the file "oracleconnection.pp" under "[Lazarus directory]\fpc\2.6.2\source\packages\fcl-db\src\sqldb\oracle" and add it to the package. The next step is, to change the file "registersqldb". Search for the first occurence of  {$DEFINE HASORACLECONNECTION}It's in an {$IFNDEF WIN64} section. You need to move it out there. I moved it under the line  {$DEFINE HASSYBASECONNECTION}. Then save the file, compile the package via "compile" button. If it compiled successfully, click the button "use" and then "install". Now your Lazarus should be build new. After strating the IDE again, you should see the icon Icon of TOracleConnection of TOracleConnection again in the "SQLdb" tab.  I will try the connection later this week (i hope).
