Which is the best RDBMS to use with Lazarus ? Have fun while that year. Talking about free RDBMS. For simple one-user DB SQLite is enough. For web-apps MariaDB (free version of MySQL). For serious complex project PostgreSQL is your choice. For clients who wants to spend some money try Oracle or M$ SQL (remember that IT-managers likes costly software) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Graeme · 2016-01-02 20:21 My preference would be: Firebird first, then PostgreSQL and  then none of the others. Out of the box (no tweaking of config settings) Firebird had much better performance than PostgreSQL, and I tested on various systems and platforms (FreeBSD, Linux and Windows). Obviously you can tweak either database servers for your environment and get the best performance from either. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- marcodor · 2016-01-04 15:11 Firebird is a great option!
