MySQL version mismatched (SOLVED)

I had to reinstall fpc and lazarus.
This time for my program I used TMySQL55conn
Unfortunately while connecting I got the exception: expected client
5.5 got 10.0.21
I got rid of this error with the solution described in:

Now the program runs fine!
I still do not know what the consequences are. How can this be solved
in a eligant way?
Is there a MySQL wizzard on the forum that can give a comment

You did it correctly 
FYI: upcoming FPC 3.0 has already implemented support for MariaDB
client library
(10.0 is alias to 5.6)
Of course next releases will cause problems again as far as MySQL
often changes binary compatibility at ABI level.
