avoid dbgrid update while execute query

Hi everybody.

I can't figure out how avoid my dbgrid gets update while I make a
query.

I have a sqlite database with many tables. but I need just to update
my dbgrid when I made some queries. I have anothers control that I
want to fill with another table.

example.

midb

table1: users
Fields: ID|USERNAME|LASTNAME|PHONE|ADDRESS

Table2: Computers
Fields: ID|USERID|MODEL|CODE|DAMAGE



I have my dbgrid associated 
mydbgrid.Datasource->mydatasource->myquery->mycconection.


So some times I just need data from my table 2 but when I make my
query my dbgrid got updated.

what way should I use to avoid that.

Don't use the same query that you use for your dbgrid to query the
information you want simple create a new query and fetch only the data
you need.
