SQL Database Engine/Client 100% FPC-Laz lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ThouWhy · 2015-06-07 02:57 Can we create a project that will create a SQL Database 100% written in FPC-Lazarus? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mercury · 2015-06-07 03:32 A SQLite Database Engine writen in freepascal? I want one too ---------------------------------------------------------------------- taazz · 2015-06-07 03:41 I guess so there is nothing preventing us from writing or porting one. Why do you want one by the way? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- bee · 2015-06-07 04:59 I remember someone has made a sqlite-like db engine in pure pascal. Let me google it first. ... Oh, here it is... MightyQuery. It was based upon janSQL. The files are here: http://www.4shared.com/folder/XL3EZwUR/MightyQuery.html Someone should put it somewhere in SourceForge, or GitHub, or BitBucker, and put it on the wiki. So everybody knows and contributes. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- taazz · 2015-06-07 05:14 Quote from: bee on June 07, 2015, 06:59:05 amI remember someone has made a sqlite-like db engine in pure pascal. Not sure what you're talking about here, but ZMSQL works just like other db components. Please read my link above first. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Graeme · 2015-06-08 13:11 Ask the NexusDB guys to make it work for Free Pascal. NexusDB is a RDBMS written 100% with Object Pascal, but currently only compilable with a Delphi compiler. If you really must, you can also use dbf unit included with FPC (which I think is DBase3/4 compatible), which is a basic database engine/client 100% implemented in Object Pascal. But this is meant for single user, desktop-type applications only.
