Raspbery Pi Access a remote database

Hi, all, I need some help please.
I have a Raspberry Pi 2B with Wheezy OS and Lazarus & FPC installed
and running fine. 

But how do I connect a Lazarus application running on the Pi to a
remote PostGres or MySql database?  I have seen nothing in the Pi
Lazarus IDE relating to database connections.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Do you understand how to connect with database using Lazarus (or plain
FPC) in general? If yes, then scan for client libraries of your chosen
DBMS for RPi and you're good to go. There's no difference in
connecting with DBMS whatever platform you're targetting as long as
the requirements are satisfied.
