Alternative to TBufDataSet

Hi, I want to create a simple application using TBufDataSet as in-
memory data storage. Application runs well on Windows 7, but not on
Linux (Raspbian) - crashes. After small investigation, it seems to be
caused by inserting data to BufDataSet:

Code: [Select]for i:=0 to count do
begin
  BufDataSet.Append;
  BufDataSet.FieldByName('ID').Value := i;
  BufDataSet.Post;
end;
This code inserts random values to the ID field, instead of i. After
few inserts, the application crashes. On the Windows 7 works fine.

So, I'm looking for the alternative component to TBufDataSet. Can
anyone recommend something?

Can you debug application to find root of problem.
May be that we can FIX TBufDataSet

BTW as a alternative you can try use simpe TMemDataSet if it fits your
needs.

Try the following
  BufDataSet.FieldByName('ID').AsInteger := i;
instead of ".Value"
