lookupfield crash

Referring to this topic I tried to create a small demo with 2
Tbufdatasets.
Fields in both dataset created. Then a extra lookupfield should be
created for showing records of the details.
when I fill in a dataset in field dataset, the IDE crashes (see
attachment) and can only close the application.

Is this a bug or not the right way to accomplish a lookupfield in
DBGrid?

Ug.  I've honestly never seen the dialog you're talking about so can't
comment directly.

For LookupCombo, I drop a standard DBLookupComboBox on the form, set
it's visble to false, configure it as per
http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/dblookupcombobox.  Then in the
DBGrid, on the OnSelectEditor, pass through the DBLookupComboBox if
it's the correct column.  Other than an extra line of code in
OnSelectEditor to set the bounds of the control, that's all I do.

Bufdatasets either, so this might not be relevant...   All my DB work
is connecting back to an engine...
