If Firebird server is not installed in the system, the
TSQLDBLibraryLoader not working at runtime. Although the server
Firebird in fact up and running.
For example in IBExpert, if you tell the library (fbclient.dll), then

lazarus-1.2.2-fpc-2.6.2-win64.exe - installed.
Firebird-2.5.2.26540-0_Win32 - unpacked and launched with the command
"fbguard.exe -a".

Lazarus x64 specified library fbclient.dll x64.

факту запущен и работает.

проблем.

Firebird-2.5.2.26540-0_Win32 - распакован и запущен командой
"fbguard.exe -a".

Для Lazarus x64 указана библиотека fbclient.dll x64.

I don't understand why you're facing problems. It should just work.

Have you put fbclient as well as all required dlls in your program
directory (for run time use) and project directory (for design time
use) as specified in http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/firebird#Clien
t.2Fserver_and_embedded_installation

Or have you got the fbclient.dll and all required libraries in your
windows\system32 directory (yes, this is the correct directory for 64
bit dlls....)

Using fbclient.dll, there should not be any need for
tsqldblibraryloader at all...

By the way, creating 64 bit executables with FPC 2.6.x is strongly
discouraged; using it with the Firebird libraries may give improper
exceptions.

Recommendation: use the 32 bit Lazarus IDE.

By the way, the TSQLDBLibraryLoader error message is strange. It
obviously loaded some library and you are trying to do something that
is not allowed - changing the connection type?!?!

Are you sure you are running tsqldblibraryloader before loading the
tibconnection as specified in the documentation?

Are you sure you are specifying the correct ConnectionType?
