display varchar in dbgrid and ORA error

I am using a zeos query component, a datasource and a dbgrid. Numbers
wich are stored as a varchar show in the dbgrid like 8E2. It should be
800. How to avoid this.
The problem is de zeos query component.
When i use de standard lazarus query component the numbers show
correct in the dbgrid. 

The lazarus query component dus not execute some query's. I have a few
query's that work correct with SQLPLUS, SQLdeveloper or TOAD but not
in de lazarus query component. I stops with the warning: "ora-24347
warning of a null column in an aggregate function".

So i have 2 questions. How to avoid the E notation in the zeos
component and how to avoid the Oracle warning in de standard query
component without changing the query

In short, add a TField.OnGetText, simply return the TField.AsString,
which will contain the correctly formatted value...

To answer the other:  no idea - what are the SQLs that raise errors in
ZEOS?
