Hello everybody,
I am trying to build a small application in Lazarus to connect to an
MySQL DB on an amazon rds unit. But I can't find anyway to use an SSL
connection and/or define a path to my certificates. So if anybody has
a solution on how to connect to an MySQL DB with SSL  I would be very
grateful.

Have seen your question couple of times but had nothing to contribute
(haven't tried that myself).
But recently came across something similar which might help you:

Can't delve in that but I believe you should be able to figure it out
from the above links.
