Zquery (ZEOS) lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Hansvb · 2014-03-21 20:23 hi,  I use the ZQuery component (ZEOS) to perform sql statements on an Oracle locator database. A query like "select , from "  works fine. But the query "select * from "  does not work when the table has a geometry column. (Oracle locator) Oracle message: ORA-22307 operation must be on an user defined type The query "select * from " works fine on a table without a geometry column. How to use a select * on an Oracle locator table? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mangakissa · 2014-03-25 08:14 I think you can't, because Zeos can't find the datatype of the geometry column if its specified is '*'. It will be handled as a standard datatype. But is ZEOS handle it incorrectly or also SQLdb? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- RalphMuc · 2014-07-03 18:41 Hi Mangakissa, you may try devart's odbc library http://www.devart.com/odac/download.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mangakissa · 2014-07-04 06:58 Devart is using its own connection to the database (direct link) but SQLdb/ZEOS depends on the client library. I know Devart can resample a datatype 'on the fly'. But why should I try it if Hansvb has a problem.
