sqlite3 native mode Windows, Linux lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- J Peasemold Gruntfuttock · 2014-03-07 22:18 I'm quite new to Lazarus, but have decades of SQL experience and have been an enthusiastic user of SQLite since 2005. A few years ago I wrote some test code in FPC to call the sqlite3 DLL on the Windows XP platform. The resulting interface is very different from the Lazarus approach, no TSQLite3Connection, TSQLTransaction and TSQLQuery objects, for example. I have zero interest in changing the DB from SQlite, which might be a reason to stick with the Lazarus-documented approach. I will have to build my own grid rather than use TDBGrid, but that is not a biggie. But at some point I want to port my Lazarus app to Linux from Windows. My question: is there anyone out there who uses the SQLite C interface with Lazarus on a Linux platform, or has experience of porting Windows code using the SQLite C interface to Linux? Any pointers to possible problems porting apps using this approach? Thanks! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2014-03-08 04:10 QuoteMy question: is there anyone out there who uses the SQLite C interface with Lazarus on a Linux platformAt least I do Quoteor has experience of porting Windows code using the SQLite C interface to Linux? It's the same, no need for porting QuoteAny pointers to possible problems porting apps using this approach?Other than file path format and permission, I don't think there could be any other issue ---------------------------------------------------------------------- J Peasemold Gruntfuttock · 2014-03-08 08:27 That is good news Leledumbo, thank you.
