Force Field to accept only capital letter

Have two fields in my table that are only a single letter. One is
middle initial and the other is gender. So want a single letter in
each.

It currently looks sloppy as some are capital and sone small letters.

How do I get the field to make it a capital no matter if they type a
small letter?

Are you using the stock TEdit or TDBEdit ? if yes then set charcase to
ecUpperCase and you are ready.
After that write an onbefore insert-update trigger and force the field
to uppercase there too to avoid changes from other sources than your
application to input lower case data.
