two databases in one single datamodule lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rc.1990 · 2013-12-31 02:36 I am migrating a Firebird replication program from Delphi to Lazarus. I need to open two databases in one single datamodule, but Lazarus 1.0.14 presents the following error message on design time. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ----- IBConnection2 : PrepareStatement : - invalid transaction handle (expection explicit transaction handle) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ----- In the datamodule, I have: - 2 IBConnection - 2 SQLTransaction - 2 SQLQuery - 2 DataSources Is there a solution to use two databases in one single datamodule? Should I report a bug on this? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mangakissa · 2013-12-31 09:27 A datamodule is nothing more than a container of non GUI components. You can even more databases on it, but separation is much better. Are you sure your transactions are right connected? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mangakissa · 2013-12-31 10:23 I've tested it with firebird embedded on Lazarus 1.0.12. in designtime. can connect correctly. compiling and building the application. in runtime also working correctly. So, I can't reproduce your problem. Maybe some code? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rc.1990 · 2013-12-31 21:27 Solved. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mangakissa · 2014-01-01 14:09 How? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rc.1990 · 2014-01-01 14:24 Instead of converting from Delphi to Lazarus using Lazarus IDE tool, I have started from scratch after reinstalling Lazarus. I do not know why it did not succeed before, but the replication is now working. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mangakissa · 2014-01-02 16:00 That's the reason I create the application in Lazarus from scratch instead of importing. It has something to do with some defines and packages witch are different from {DELPHI} and {FPC}
