MariaDB with Zeos on MacOS lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- digiflash · 2013-11-20 20:49 I installed MariaDB with homebrew. Tried to connect but only get an error-message that the libmariadb.dylib isn't found. "None of the dynamic libraries can be found or is not loadable: libmariadb.dylib" Set the property LibraryLocation to point at my lib-directory and copied/renamed the dylib from the mariadb-lib-directory. Doesn't help anyway. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- digiflash · 2013-11-23 11:40 How can I get the "version" of the mysql-dylib (x32/x64)? MacOs is always x64 or am I wrong? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BigChimp · 2013-11-23 12:02 Nope, you're wrong half right : current OSX kernels are x64 but can run x86 as well as x64 code. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- digiflash · 2013-11-25 07:58 Ok. That's like Windows  My problem seems to be the x64 dylib and the x32 Lazarus. I'm now trying to get a x32 dylib for the mariadb access. I have to compile it on my own to get a x32 version?! Someone may confirm that? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- fpcoder · 2014-06-09 15:11 I just installed MariaDB 5.5 under windows 7 64 bit. In ObjectInspector the LibraryLocation property had to be set to: C:\Program Files\MariaDB 5.5\lib\libmysql.dll Then all worked.
