Newbie question sqlite3 lazarus? lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Robert W.B. · 2013-11-07 22:22 In Dbf I need one datasource and a dbf component but, What components do I need for sqlite3 DB lazarus form? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- marcov · 2013-11-07 22:28 Install sqldb, it is the general driver for many SQL based connection types. One typically uses a sqldb specific connection component, and tsql* components for the rest. It is also possible to use the separate sqlitedataset package, but I don't know it very well. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Robert W.B. · 2013-11-07 22:30 Thanks Marcov but, install from where? Install in Lazarus! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- howardpc · 2013-11-07 23:04 Make sure sqlite3.dll (or equivalent Linux .so) is installed in your system path. Package -> Install/Uninstall Packages... In the Install/Uninstall Packages dialog the lefthand treeview lists Installed packages. In the righthand treeview (Available for installation) locate the sqlite3laz 0.4 package and highlight it. Install it by clicking on the [Install selection] button, and then click the [Save and rebuild IDE] button. In the confirmation dialog click the [Continue] button which starts the relinking process, and some time later a rebuilt Lazarus IDE will restart with the new package installed. The new component is placed on the SQLdb Palette page, and shows up with a feather outline icon (at least I think that's what it is meant to be). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Robert W.B. · 2013-11-07 23:29 I have the SQlite3.dll but, where should I place it? In win32 mapp? How to path it? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- jeff_swi · 2013-11-08 03:11 Prior to compiling the sqlite3laz package, I put the sqlite3.dll file in the C:\lazarus directory. You will also need to put the sqlite3.dll in the application folder of the program you created in order for it to run. I have had no problems doing it this way.
