Locate in TMemdataset still not working

Tried to search into a memdataset with locate, but the record will not
be found. search with Google and read that TMemtable is deprecated.
Using Tbufdataset is better.

But why is this component still available as a component in th IDE?

Just today I applied patch which implements Locate for TMemDataset:
