No SQL engine lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- cpalx · 2013-10-26 13:01 i want to start working with No SQL engine like cassandra or mongo. Any idea how to make it with Lazarus? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- xinyiman · 2013-10-26 13:41 to follow ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2013-10-26 14:29 You can port one of Delphi wrappers here (the 2nd one, pebongo, seems to support FPC already). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- goodname · 2013-10-26 15:59 If your just looking for a NoSQL or no-schema data storage then PostgreSQL has two data types that you should consider. The first is a extension called hstore that has been around for a very long time. Don't know the status of the Lazarus SQLDB support for this data type. The second is a core data type called JSON. This data type at it's base is a text type with extra JSON checks. It should not be difficult to add Lazarus SQLDB support for JSON if it is not there already. As far a performance for these PostgreSQL data types I have seen benchmarks that shown they are as good as dedicated NoSQL engines. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- cpalx · 2013-10-27 22:55 thanks all
