Sqlite3 and Blowfish lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- wizbowes · 2013-08-05 23:08 I'm trying to obscure a field in my database.  It's a key that is encoded using blowfish.  The result is then stored to a table in a SQLite3 database. Whilst it works most of the time, some combinations are giving an error writing to the table.  I believe that this is because of some of the characters in the blowfish output (inverted coma's etc).  Should I be saving this as a BLOB?  Is there an example anywhere of how to save a StringStream as a Blob in Sqlite? Thanks in Advance! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- wizbowes · 2013-08-05 23:31 And I've worked it out.  Don't need to use a blob - just use parameters to pass the string. D'Oh. For those that find this later: Code: [Select]SQLTransaction.StartTransaction; SQLQuery.SQL.Text:= 'insert into TestTable values (:myString)'; SQLQuery.Params.ParamByName('myString').asstring := s1.DataString; SQLQuery.ExecSQL; SQLTransaction.Commit;
