SQLDB and Firebird lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- k1attila1 · 2013-06-02 17:30 Could somebody tell me what the difference is among : - sqlquery.ApplyUpdates; - sqlquery.ApplyUpdates(1); - sqlquery.ApplyUpdates(-1); Thanks ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ludob · 2013-06-02 18:49 ApplyUpdates stores all the changes in the TDataSet into the database. The parameter is the number of errors you allow before ApplyUpdates aborts. ApplyUpdates; is the equivalent of ApplyUpdates(0); ApplyUpdates(-1); tries to store as much as possible in the DB, skipping all errors. Obviously anything different from 0 needs to be handled with a lot of care. There is an OnUpdateError event that is triggered when an error occurs in storing a row and that allows you to handle the errors encountered. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- k1attila1 · 2013-06-02 19:28 Thanks, It helps me a lot.
