ZeosLib 7.0.1 Beta lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- silvestre · 2012-10-05 10:08 After several years of development, a few hours ago has uploaded the latest version of Zeos Unicode (Beta) with a large number of changes and updates to the latest versions of Lazarus. It can be downloaded here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/zeoslib/files/Zeos%20Database%20Object s/zeosdbo-7.0.1-beta/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JD · 2012-10-05 10:17 Finally! A great step forward. Thanks for the info. I've been using the alpha version for about 3 years now and though it works fine, it feels much better to move on to an official beta version. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- irw10062 · 2012-10-05 11:58 what different with this http://svn.code.sf.net/p/zeoslib/code-0/trunk ---------------------------------------------------------------------- EgonHugeist · 2012-10-05 12:13 Wow you guys are lightning fast!! You've seen the additional package based on Rev.1879 before we could announce it in our forum! Yes we did release 7.0.1-Beta. Again the Beta attribute is because of the D2009+ combat and not related to all Ansi-Pascal-Compilers. We are finaly very proud to close these issues and looking forward for the stable state and the end of this year. A lot of new features have been arrived.. Thanks for going on testing and using. I personally broke with 6.6.x maintaining. Have fun with Zeos7 and stay flexible!  King Regards, Michael, ZeosDevTeam Edit: @irw10062 the difference is the attribute and a bundled offical package. The \trunk and \testing will going on with maintaining/fixing. A package is a closed bundle for those who have still no idea how to use CSV/SVN repositories(I wonder why but that happens daily...). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JD · 2012-10-05 13:21 Quote from: EgonHugeist on October 05, 2012, 02:13:40 pmWow you guys are lightning fast!! You've seen the additional package based on Rev.1879 before we could announce it in our forum! Hi Michael. Now you see why we deserve as much attention and TLC as the Delphi users. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Zoran · 2012-10-05 17:10 Thank you very much, Michael, for your hard work which have brought Zeos back to life. Although I will just go on using the trunk version, it really feels good to see this, as a confirmation that Zeos is very much alive again. And happy birthday! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- EgonHugeist · 2012-10-05 17:37 @JD Yes i trust you in that. The Delphi users mostly use now UniDAC or MyDAC which is not for free and very expensive. Well but they pay a lot for that compiler and so they do expect good DB Components. But now Zeos is interesting for the Delphi Starter users again and for those which do not want to pay for these Components. Anyway i want to support ALL pascal compilers as long they are not outdated. Btw. with the FPC2.6Up support we got great help from MarcoV. @Zoran Thanks for the praise. Yes i did a lot(ca. 800+ commits) but nothing would happen if not other people helped too. Testers equal to other maintainers or our project-manager. And thank you for your congratulations. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2012-10-06 03:40 Well done... I'll still be waiting for the final release though (as I don't have any database related projects ATM). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- EgonHugeist · 2012-10-08 21:50 LOL, Now we have announced the Beta too: http://zeos.firmos.at/viewtopic.php?p=16308#16308 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Zoran · 2013-01-03 12:51 Three years after the alfa release, Zeos 7 stable seems to be there now!!!
