Hello to all,
 I´m really new in Lazarus, this is my first post

I downloaded Lazarus 1.0 and Advantage Database 10.10 tDataset for the
test simply 

1.- ADD AdsConnection
2.- ADD Adstable
3.- ADD DataSource
4.- ADD DBGrid

all connect

compile and run, all work but when I go to last record and move to
right I get this error

Project projectADS raised exception class 'External: SIGSEGV'


Some help will be welcome

Hello,

the problem not exist if I run the project outside Lazarus, run
directly the .exe

Other question, how many are using ADS with Lazarus?

library, GDB would still catch the exception despite it's handled or
not.

Look this :
http://www.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/topic,6225.15.html . Its
probably a question with firewall or antivirus program - for me it was
Commodo Firewall. Its not about the ADS component.

I think, there are better database system, then ADS. I haven't used it
yet, but I think Sqlite, or MySql are a better choice. Much more thing
on the net, forums, posts, tutorials, etc.

Thanks for the replays,

I know, we can many options about DB, ADS has SQL and ISAM Technic to
access the data, to work with local DB, we need only copy 2 DLL, to
migrate client server we reuse 100% of code changing one line in
external file not in the .exe, but I think we don´t need to discus
about it.

I appreciate your comments , I´m really new in Lazarus, Delphi or
pascal, is my first app I´m trying to find an develop environment
alternative, I´m come  from Harbour (clipper) ,  but I can see it will
be hard, but I will try
