Paradox database reading under Windows with YYYY.MM.DD. date format

Hello,

I would like to (only) read paradox tables (.DB) under Windows with
Lazarus. I've tried with TParadoxDataSet 0.1
(http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/TParadoxDataSet). I could read all
tables except of which is contains Hungarian (codepage: 1250) date
(YYYY.MM.DD.). When I try to activate the DB I've got "Invalid Field
Size: 1" error message.
Another program uses these DB files via BDE. BDE has langdriver field
which is Paradox Hun 852 DC in my case.
I've tried with TPDX 0.7 (http://sourceforge.net/projects/tpdx/)
component also but I cannot open the attached example database
neither. It says "Unable to open database".
Could You pls help me?
