How to get SQLITE3 working in Lazarus? lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Knipfty · 2012-06-15 17:00 Hi All, I am trying to creat my 1st Lazarus ased program.  I used Dephi many years ago and love the way it looks very much like Delphi.  I would like to use SQLITE3 but can't get Lazarus to rebuild with either the SQLite package or the one from Zeos.  I am using Win7 64bit.  If someone could provide the steps needed to do this, I'd really appreciate it.  I'm new to Lazarus so the more specific the better. Thanks in advance, Scott PS, if this is somehow a dead end, I am open to other suggestion. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BigChimp · 2012-06-15 17:33 Have a look here: http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/SQLite#Built-in_SQLDB and see if it works... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Knipfty · 2012-06-15 18:26 And that's the problem.  The SQLDB tab does not contain TSQLite3Connection or any SQLite components.  It looks like I need to rebuild Lazarus, but at every attempt I am greeting with erros messages of missing units. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BigChimp · 2012-06-15 18:45 The SQlite component should be included....in a Lazarus 32 bit environment. What other connectors do you see on the Lazarsu SQLDB tab? What version of Lazarus are you running/ Try running a Lazarus 32 bit snapshot if you're currently running x64 Lazarus. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Knipfty · 2012-06-15 19:30 Thank you BigChimp! I was using the 64-bit version of Lazarus.  I just uninstalled it and then installed the 32-bit version and the component is there. Now the fun can begin. Have a great weekend all, Scott PS teh 64-bit version tab is missing several components.  Someone should look into it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2012-06-16 03:15 It actually works in 64-bit windows as well, but in current release, registersqldb.pas (registration unit for sqldb package) omits sqlite3 from win64. You could simply enable the define. It's enabled in the svn version, so is in the next release.
