SQLDB PostgreSQL Linux64 lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- didiergm · 2012-06-05 08:14 Hello, I installed yesterday Lazarus & FPC on Linux64 bits and cannot find the usual connection objects for PostgreSQL, although SQLDb is installed, the Data Access tab only shows TDatasource & tBufDataset. I must have done something wrong but I cannot see what. Any clues would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance Didier ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BigChimp · 2012-06-05 08:32 Have a look at the sqldb tab. If it's not there, try adding at least the sqldb package (see wiki pages on adding packages) and rebuild Lazarus You can also do a make bigide from the command line, then open Lazarus and rebuild for good measure. This will install some more packages (if any are missing) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- cpalx · 2012-06-05 12:34 Maybe the package isnt installed, go your {$LazarusDir}/compontns/ and search the db component and install it ---------------------------------------------------------------------- didiergm · 2012-06-05 13:31 I did a clean reinstall, and this time got everything I needed; Thanks for the help Now onto learning how SQLDB works ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BigChimp · 2012-06-05 15:20 Good! Don't forget to have a look at the wiki - e.g. the sqldb tutorial1.... and if you can improve the wiki, please feel free! There are also some examples in Lazarus; the lazdatadesktop for instance is a fairly big one.
