Newbie Question on MySQL 5.5 lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- CodingInMotion · 2012-06-04 08:32 Hey! I need to access a MySQL 5.5 database from my Laz App that should run on Win64 and Linux (also x64). I searched the forum and found some topics, but none of them helped me. The links to further (BETA?) versions of Laz (v1.1 that inlcudes FPC 2.6.1 or 2.7.1) simple did not start on my Win64 machine. Alos, I cound not find a component. The "Download" link (http://zeos.firmos.at/downloads.php?cat=2) to the ZEOS library mentioned in some of the posting is dead or the website is defect (I can see only the header, no matter which browser). So my question: Can someone simply paste some components and / or some lines of code that is understandable for a Lazarus newbie (with just some years of Delphi experience) and just works? Thank You, Roman ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Blestan · 2012-06-04 10:09 http://zeosdownloads.firmos.at/downloads/releases/ZEOSDBO-7.0.0- alpha.zip this is the link for zeos 7.0 ... or also check on sourceforge ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BigChimp · 2012-06-04 11:06 "the links".. "did not start" is a bit vague... doesn't help to understand the problem. Crystal ball mode: I'm guessing you don't have a 64 bit mysql client library installed properly on your Windows machine. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Lacak2 · 2012-06-04 12:31 Roman tell us what DB components are you trying use to connect to MySQL 5.5 ... Currently recommended is getting it from SF SVN (egon branch)
