Lazarus / Firebird SQL update submit

I have a problem which I hope a kind person can answer me.

I have created a program where I have attached the SQL database. It
works fine and i can see all data and when I press the navigation
panel data change as well.
BUT when I want to insert or change it does not work? In other words,
there seems to be missing a sumbit statment?

In SQLQurery1 element i have set UpdateSQL to :
SQLQuery1.ApplyUpdates;
SQLTransaction1.Commit;

Have to re-read the records(after post/delete -> ApplyUpdates -> start
transaction -> open data set)

Probably a typo: after post/delete -> ApplyUpdates -> commitretaining
transaction
No need to reopen data set with commitretaining or rollbackretaining
