Installing IBX on OSX error message ....

Hi,

A newbie looking for some help please!

I've installed IBX in Lazarus on OSX, the install documentation states
that two tabs should appear, the components and also the Admin
Components, however only the Firebird components appear.

Also, when I try to drop a IBDatabase onto a form I get an error
stating 'Firebird library not found in the path.  Please install
Firebird to use this functionality'.  However Firebird is installed,
up and running OK as I can access a database using RazorSQL.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Summary of off Forum discussion:

It seems that the default installation of Firebird SuperServer under
OSX doesn't always (if at all) provide a soft-link for
libfbclient.dylib in a standard location.

The new release of IBX for Lazarus (1.0-0) now checks for
/Library/Frameworks/Firebird.framework/Firebird and loads whatever it
finds there as the Firebird library, if libfbclient.dylib cannot be
loaded. See post in "third party announcements"

more information.
