Any Firebird embedded succes stories?

Hi all,

Have any of you gotten Firebird embedded working on Linux, OSX or
another Unix?

If so, could you post some hints on how you did it? I intend to expand
the Wiki article on Firebird embedded if I can get it working.

Although Firebird embedded is officially supported on Windows only
(see the bottom of this page: http://www.firebirdsql.org/file/document
ation/reference_manuals/user_manuals/html/qsg25-classic-or-
super.html), there is an article about setting up Firebird embedded on
Linux: http://www.firebirdfaq.org/Firebird-Embedded-Linux-HOWTO.html

So, try to follow these instructions? I haven't tried it myself.

Thanks Zoran, I knew about that one... Just wondered if somebody got
it working, especially with FPC/Lazarus
