Focusing the cell on the appended row in dbgrid

How can I focus a cell on dbgrid after appending new record?

I am inserting a new row in dbgrid and doing post with <tab> key,
after that the new row is opened but the last cell of the new appended
row
is focused with: DBGrid.SetFocus.

I need to set focus on the second cell of the new row (i.e. second
column of the new row)
in order to start with data entry right away.

After append do dbgrid1.SelectedIndex := 1 to focus the second column.
