More friendly error message. lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BlueIcaro · 2011-07-03 17:05 Hello, I making some test with FireBird DB, and Zeos, in Lazarus. I make a small program with a zeos connectios, a zeos table, a dbgrid and dbnavigator, I have a DB, with a field not null. I post a empty field and, of course, I got a error in the postError event. I write this Code: Pascal  [Select][+][-]window.onload = function(){var x1 = document.getElementById("main_content_section"); if (x1) { var x = document.getElementsByClassName("geshi");for (var i = 0; i procedure TForm1.ZTable1PostError(DataSet: TDataSet; E: EDatabaseError;  var DataAction: TDataAction);begin   ShowMessage (E.Message);  DataAction :=  daAbort;end;        My program shows a message, but I want to know which kind of error is it, and Show a friendly message, for example Code: [Select]If error = field null Then (...) If error = blaa Then Bla,bla Any idea? thanks /BlueIcaro[/code] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2011-07-04 04:09 Hmm... I don't know whether each exception is its own descendant of EDatabaseError or it's just EDatabaseError with different message argument. You should check this yourself.
