DBGrid Question lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Kyjan · 2011-05-27 06:20 Hi guys, I have a strange problem and can't figure out the solution. The problem: I have a DBGrid component, connected to a SQLite database. When I enter some characters to the grid, and set the form to full size before editing done, i got a SIGSEV error. I tried to close the SQL connection before the resize, but the error occurs in this case, too. So, what should I do? TIA Kyjan ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JD · 2011-05-27 17:57 Is your DBGrid read only? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- jesusr · 2011-05-27 18:19 In order to know if it's a dbgrid problem please post a backtrace at the point the SIGSEV occurs. If you are running your program from within Lazarus, take a look at View->Debug Windows->Call Stack ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Kyjan · 2011-05-27 19:00 JD: some columns are read-only, and you can write in only one column. jesusr: I'll do it. Can I post it here on the forum? Regards Kyjan ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Kyjan · 2011-05-29 16:24 jesusr: i have done what you suggested, and the result is that the in the dbgrid.pas in line 2956 UpdateBufferCount procudure fails. There are multiple lines in the logwindow, and every one of them refers to the dbgrid.pas. What should I do? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JD · 2011-05-29 17:39 Can you post a sample of your project so we can test it on our machines? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Kyjan · 2011-05-30 18:46 JD, here is a sample project. When you start it, click on "Load", and then type some chars in the last column. The first two columns are read-only. After you typed the chars, DO NOT SAVE or PRESS ENTER, just click the max window icon, and you'll see the error. here is the sample project: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17636264/griderror.zip (I'm using Win7 with Lazarus 0.9.30) Thanks for your help. Regards, Kyjan ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Kyjan · 2011-05-31 16:33 Any idea? I tried to find a solution, but failed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- fredycc · 2011-05-31 18:29 Yes, I can see the error (Win7 with Lazarus 0.9.31), are you try using Zeos???, with Zeos 7 I don't have problems with your database. Regards. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- jesusr · 2011-05-31 20:45 It seems a bug in TSqlite3Dataset when changing the buffer count and record is in edit state, I would fill a bug report to FPC or try another dataset with SQLite support, zeos or sqldb for example.
