sqlite dll woes lazarus / 16-Databases ---------------------------------------------------------------------- davect · 2011-05-10 01:59 I have Lazarus installed on two different computers and also have Zeos installed on both. On one computer I can access a sqlite database just fine. On the other, Lazarus complains sqlite3.dll can't be found. This dll is in the application directory, the Lazarus directory and the Windows System32 directory. Why can't Lazarus find it on this one particular installation, whereas the other is OK? Windows 7 (64 bit) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- PaulW · 2011-05-12 18:21 I struggled with this too.  If I remember right, you need to put sqlite3.dll in your lazarus application directory BEFORE installing sqlite3laz.  I uninstalled sqlite3laz, copied the sqlite3.dll to c:\lazarus and then reinstalled sqlite3laz.  Good luck. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- marcov · 2011-05-12 18:53 I assume your application and the first DLL found are either BOTH 32-bit, OR BOTH 64-bit ? No 32-bit<->64-bit combinations? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- davect · 2011-05-15 23:22 After some poking around I discovered the version of sqlite3.dll available at sqlite.org is 32 bit only and will not behave with a 64 bit OS. It seems I would need a 64 bit version. Oh well. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- NelsonN · 2011-05-16 00:01 Quote from: davect on May 16, 2011, 01:22:18 amAfter some poking around I discovered the version of sqlite3.dll available at sqlite.org is 32 bit only and will not behave with a 64 bit OS. It seems I would need a 64 bit version. Oh well. You might want to look at this list here: http://sqlite.phxsoftware.com/forums/p/1699/7185.aspx The new Fork has been taken over by SQLite themselves: http://system.data.sqlite.org/index.html/doc/trunk/www/index.wiki Maybe the above will help? But, if anyone else knows a better 64-bit library, please post it. Maybe something not needing to be installed, a simple .dll perhaps? I would be interested in knowing about it as well.
