Is it possible to enter only HH:mm into DBGrid Time field ?

I need to save into Firebird Database only HH:mm in a Time Field.
When I modify a value for the Time Field in DBGrid there appears in
addition seconds.
Can I avoid seconds ? ( It may be is impossible .... )
I did setup proprties of a ZQuery:
- DisplayFormat := 'HH:mm';
- EditMask := 'HH:mm';
But this does not make what I need.
