No Data Fields in LazReport

Using Lazarus 0.9.30/FPC 2.4.2, ZEOSlib 6.6.6, Firebird 2.1, Windows
XP SR3.

I’ve been attempting to follow Theo Kramer’s excellent video tutorials
on working with databases through Lazarus, and I just ran into a
situation where the tutorial doesn’t match what I’m experiencing.

The tutorial deals with setting up a report using LazReport.  After
setting up page and column headers, the tutorial starts to add data
fields.  There’s a dialog where Theo chooses a DB Field button, then
chooses a Data Source, and a list of data fields shows up.

I can follow along in the tutorial, choose the DB Field button, choose
the appropriate Data Source for my project, but I see no data fields
in the list box below the header in the dialog.  I’ve attached a
screen shot.

I should also add that I’ve tried this with both ZEOS components and
the native Lazarus SQLDB components as Data Sources, and get the same
results each way.

Apparently, there’s something missing in my overall setup; perhaps
something Theo neglected to cover in the tutorial.  What needs to be
done to get this to work?
