differences between TsqlQuery and TIBQuery (Delphi)

Hello,
I have a great problem.
I have an application that works with firebird.
I must read a memo field (blob subtype 0) and put it into some
strings.
In Delphi is I use "Query1.FieldByName('NOTE').AsString" I can read
the value of the memo field.
In Lazarus if I use the same statement the value is empty.
In delphi Query1 is a TIBQuery in Lazarus is TsqlQuery
How I can do in lazarus to see the value of the memo field?
