Unknown Field Type for Decimal(16,5) fields

Can not use lazarus because it is failing with Decimal(16,5) fields
with "Unknown Field Type" error.
Please help

Yes it is missing feature. (decimal fields are supported only up to 4
decimal places)
If you require strict 5 decimal places (or more), then you must wait
until it will be implemented. There are waiting patches for adding
support of TFmtBCDField, but also TBCD support must be enhanced
( http://bugs.freepascal.org/view.php?id=16853 )
